IIDTool

I bought an IIDTool, DA6408 for my D4 from LRDirect. The packet arrived today and the box is labelled DA6418 Defender 07-15. When I phoned LRDirect I was told that the BT version is the same for all vehicles. Can anyone confirm if this is true?
Thanks

OK...

Now how do we get it working?

Connected the USB cable to a W10 laptop and- nothing at all.

Downloaded the 112 page manual and there not much help to get started.
