It's not necessary to go for genuine. I have OEM-style steps purchased from Direct 4x4 for around £150. You'd be hard pressed to tell the difference, either visually or in terms of quality. IIRC, genuine can run in to £900 or more from a dealer.

Agree on going down the non-genuine route.

Wrecked my nearside step on a low wall and replaced with one bought of e-bay (as a pair), £109 delivered (from Germany !!). Hard to distinguish from the original genuine on the drivers side and based on expectation it could be trashed again......no-brainer Thumbs Up

I have recently removed a pair of genuine side steps from my MY14 and was thinking of selling. Any ideas what they're worth ?
Can't see any used genuine ones on here or eBay.
Thanks
Matt

Judging from other posts around £100 if in good nick as they are no better than the cheap versions on eBay,and I have had both.

Also looking for side steps, would appreciate it if you have a link to the German seller. Many thanks
PS Are you still happy with them, and how easy to fit??

I'm going down the side tube route, I've been quoted £774 inc fitting by my dealer Shocked Shocked

So I'm thinking Britpart, which I believe are pretty much the same thing and are a reputable brand, I've always bought genuine LR but the prices are getting ridiculous.
