for first out the barn clean aldi also do a caravan cleaner fluid in their specials line in spring
really strong cleaner for grp and caravan formulation around £2.99 for a litre from memory
and better than fenwicks, cuts through the black streaks with ease and can be diluted for regular washes

I finish off with a waterless wax spray cleaner like show room shine/greased lightning for panels and windows

Whatever cleaner you use, whats your method for cleaning the roof? I nearly fell off the step ladders last time.

I just got mine back from a major damp repair to the roof, and its all clean now, but I know it won't last. Especially under the plastic roof light covers, around the frames.

im fortunate as I have a flat roof next to where I park the van on my path so I just lightly jet wash after applying snow foam, but have used a Costco plastering ladder set up with a brush before now

for the skylights I set up a small stool inside and remove the skylights and stick my head through to clean around the seals and give the clear plastics a good clean while off the van

Crikey that's brave! I wouldn't trust my caravan roof, it feels really flimsy.

Not a problem for Bailey vans - the roof is one piece and tested well beyond my weight Laughing Laughing

It's an annual event - next one is due in a couple of weeks Bow down

I know Bailey adverstised a Mondeo on the roof of an Alutec 'van, and I have a Bailey Olympus Alutec, but I still wouldn't stand on the roof. I just put my ladders up the side and use a long handled cleaning brush (one of those with the hose connected to it for the water to run through)
