Excessive play in front suspension bushings? |
|
Hi
Our disco 4 just failed its MOT on excessive front suspension play and needs new front bushings (I don't have the exact wording yet) and they say its about a 6 hour job.
Does anyone know if this is covered under warranty as we have LR warranty still + MOT warranty.
Dealer is looking into it and sounds pretty confident but just wondered if anyone else has had this covered under warranty before?

I think the fact you have an MOT warranty will work in your favour

Mine were getting movement in them, but not enough to fail the MOT.
They did say they would be covered under the MOT insurance though if it had failed.
(not under the extended warranty)
The amount payable under the MOT test insurance is £750 for info.
I couldn't live with mine just slightly knocking and had them replaced at a local independent. They can be a pig of a job as the bolts seize and have to be freed off.
Mine ended up costing around £850 from memory.
