Interesting. I wonder if this would work on earlier D4's? A challenge for my dealer on the next visit! (Mind you, everything seems to be a challenge at the moment as far as the dealer is concerned, even returning a phone call)

Interesting, so assume they did it using IID tool or equivalent? Rather than some well buried option on the dash interface?MY2012 D4 HSE Nara Bronze with some extra stuff
I have tweaked mine so that the sidelights stay on until locked and that it only requires a single press for superlock. Along with the mirrors folding I now have no doubt that the vehicle is secure!!
How did you set this? Would love to have single-press double-lock enabled!2016MY Discovery 4 Commercial , 3.0 SDV6 Auto, Santorini Black, side-steps, 510s.

The setting can be changed by an IID tool.

I tried this yesterday with my IID but all you can get is a double chirp upon unlocking and a single chirp upon single locking. Total silence on the 2nd locking. This was discussed in an earlier post and the results were the same. Can you confirm the chirp is upon the second locking key press and not the first please?
Oh and I moved from an FL2 to a D4 rather than a DS for the same reasons

Double Locking Tone
Hi to you all. I can confirm that the tone is given on the second locking press but is very quiet and hard to hear in normal road noise areas. You need to be standing on the drivers side alongside the door to hear it. Must admit my hearing is not that good due to age and working environment but it is clear and has worked since it was enabled by the dealer.
Foot note: now done little under 1500 miles and getting 33MPG measured from fill to fill, very pleased, took grandkids out last weekend two adults and four kids aged 4 to 11, very tired at the end, that's us not the kids Past owner of Freelander 2 and Discovery Sport, Current Vehicle SDV6.

Yea, but the good bit about Grandkids is that you can give them back full of chocolate and fizzy drink depending on how good your own kids were Stew,
