Leg room
Hi guys, I am looking for some advice. I'm thinking about taking the plunge and buying a D4 but there is always one thing I have to consider. I am pretty tall at 6ft 8inches and I am worried about room issues in the d4. In every car I have owned I obviously need the seat as far back as it can go to get comfortable. Obviously that then hinders and rear passengers I may be carrying. My question is this guys......is the disco big enough for me.
Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks
Greig

Im 6ft 5 inches and its perfectly fine for me I don't have to have the seat right back as i have it relatively straight up (back problems) so rear passengers have plenty of space. Only irritating thing is the steering wheel obscures the info screen and row of wanrning lights on the dash from my height so I have to duck down to see them.
Best thing to do is have a test drive and play with the seat position but think you and the passengers would be fine. MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

Thanks for the quick reply rdr. I'd love a disco and the only thing putting me off is the room issue. Think you right....test drive is needed.

Sound thanks for that. I've sent him a private message. Any advice is greatly appreciated. A disco is my dream car and have been kinda gutted that I can't get one due to my height.

If you can't get in a Disco you can't get in anything, one thing they have got is plenty of room, including driving in size 12 wellies buy one with a sun roof if you need max height It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I'm a fag paper under 6ft 7in, but of course we drive in shoes/boots, so in reality taller. I've met people who are taller than me but have shorter legs and shorter people who have longer legs. The late and great Peter Wheeler of TVR fame, being an example. He had really long legs, but a relatively short torso. As such the TVR Cerbera had massive leg room, but not enough headroom for me.
I'm very comfy in the D3/4, but one reason I've always had HSE's is that you get a few mm more headroom in them due to the sunroof. Honestly. Plus the drivers seat in the HSE has more range of adjustment than lesser spec. versions.
There's no way I'd be comfy on the long journeys that I do, if I was even a fraction taller though. Given a choice, a tad more legroom would be nice, but at least I can stretch my left leg out.
I'd say that you really must take a long drive in one before committing. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Thanks for the reply. I'm a tad under 6ft 9inches. I do a bit of travelling so it's good to hear it from someone tall who does travel. It's kinda put me off as I've made bad choices in the past and bearded the brunt financially. Oh well....thanks everyone for getting back to me so quickly.
