I'm not sure removing the belt is my area with my limited resources otherwise I'd give it a go.

If this is the issue, I assume I need to stop driving it asap? Which begs the question, how do i get it from home to garage?
 Thanks,

Adam

Oh marvellous. Fingers crossed time I guess. Can't afford a new engine!
 Thanks,

One of the belt tensioners ?

Mine made a dull clatter that got worse, took a video and put it up here, mine was from front right wheel arch area.
Stopped using the car and investigated, when I took the tension off the belt, the last bearings fell out the tensioner.

Was a rather lucky escape with it.

Well, come Thursday I'll know if it's a fixable job or if the car will be going to Landy heaven.
 Thanks,

Right folks - it's been diagnosed as the transfer box. So, it could have been worse and it's not like I wasn't expecting the cost.
 Thanks,
