Towing lights warning?
Stood at the side of the A272 last night with a dead bike (Honda stator failure again) a 63 plate D4 with the biggest Rice double box on the hook came past in the dark and none of the horse boxes lights were on, does the D4 monitor trailer lights? Driver should have known, if they ever look in the mirrors...

This always amazes me 'tow car of the year' since birth and they can't muster the energy to sort it out! Just steal it off the L32226 and on the 4th LR..

Not strictly true, as they do monitor the indicators.

towing and front warning lights
Hi there .
I may be wrong but is there any law stating you should have flashing amber lights on the front of a towing vehicle ie d4 in grill ect .
As i have had just lately HGVs pulling out on motorways in front of me as about to pass them in the dark not as much in day light, with them just expecting me to go in to out side lane in a split second.
I know its a hard life driving hgv s and they have no idea what you have on the back in the dark when driving.
so could this be a way forward flashing grill lights made mandatory when towing trailers for cars .

Think the highway code only permits amber flashing lights when stationary for cars, when broken down for example using hazard indicators (or you are free to use other devices). Can use when moving momentarily to warn road users behind of a hazard in front (like lorry drivers started doing because of their height)
