Fuel being nicked?
Haven't driven the D4 this week yet I've lost 1/4 tank in fuel. It hasn't leaked out so I can only assume I'm gong mad or somebody's nicked it whilst it's been sitting on the drive. Do these things have anti siphon devices?

Don't place too much reliance on the fuel gauge

Common problem caused by age. Not the Disco: you! Went for a job as a human cannonball. Not the right calibre.

Nobody has driven it. I'll see what happens next week. Does the fuel flap lock with the rest of the car? Must check.

I reckon the car's having an affair. Check its (door) pockets for evidence. Went for a job as a human cannonball. Not the right calibre.

To check that you're not having a senior moment or that the sender has gone screwy would be worth filling the tank up. At best it'll verify one of the above, at worst it'll be appreciated by th tea leaf.

Most fuel isn't nicked from the filler these days, but from somewhere below the tank. But I guess if this had happened there'd be signs of it. Is it empty now?
The other thing that entered my mind is the fuel burning heater, would you notice if that started doing it's own thing? Never heard of it though.

I'll keep an eye on it. I suspect as others have suggested that the problem is my memory, not the car!
