[For Sale] Thule Roof rails and Mtblanc roof box
My wife's discovery 4 has now gone, so the Roof bars/ box are for sale
Thule roof bars and Montblanc roof box aprox 30cm * 80cm * 170cm
Few scuff marks on the roof box, the mechanism on the hinge that holds the lid open is a bit temperamental - nothing that effects usage.
The roof bars fit onto roof rails (not bars) Both items are lockable keys supplied.
Collection only from Wilmslow – Cheshire
£150 for both items This a great price

They slot into the black fitted rails
There should be a slot in the rails that the Thule feet fit into.

Not trying to hijack your for sale posting but I've a question I guess you can probably answer...
Do the Thule bars only fit at the position of the cut outs in the roof rails (as the OEM roof bars do) or can you put them anywhere along the track in the rails? Looks like the fittings for the OEM and the Thule bars are different and so the Thule ones won't be limited to the notch positions. Or am I wrong?

If they are the ones I have, with a square "head" on a threaded shaft, they will only join the track at the middle position, where there is a bigger cutout, but can be secured anywhere along the track you want to use them.
I actually avoid the little cutouts towards the front/back of the track as it seems like it would be less secure with less metal trapped by the square head, but have no evidence of that!!2018 1.5Ti Skoda Octavia - dull as f&ck

Sound very similar - it's the spec quoted elsewhere - 753 footpack / 3027 fitting kit / 769 bars
I thought exactly as you did - avoiding the notches seemed logical.
