First puncture in caravan tyre and hopefully the last !!

Arrived at storage site this afternoon to remove cover and get ready for trip tomorrow to Norfolk and one of tyres completely flat !!

Took to Kwik Fit and it has a massive screw in the tyre near the edge so can't be repaired

Not good when we are supposed to be leaving tomorrow morning

Currently has Hankook 175/65 R14 86T and the closest they had was a Michelin at £91 Big Cry Big Cry

Have looked online and can get the Hankook for just over £32 delivered but not until next week

Have decided to swap the new spare onto the alloy and have a budget tyre with a lower load rating fitted as the spare

Know the feeling, had the same problem a couple of years ago on the morning we where setting off, tried all over to get a tyre, no one stocked them, local caravan dealer helped us out in the end lent me a wheel until we got back, by this time my local tyre firm got me a new tyre.

Spooky, I just had a similar experience.

Got my first ever puncture just 4 miles short of the CL site we were going to. It was the front tyre on the nearside. Big gouge in the sidewall. I lifted the suspension and took it very steady to the site as we were on narrow lanes and stopping to change would be dangerous.

Got to the site, couldn't get the wheel off, so good job I didn't try on the road. Got the spare out, and it was 7 years old, despite the van being only 5.

So I rung Kwik Fit and ordered 2 tyres, (2 or more and onsite fitting and disposal is free!) 3 days later, as the tyres had to be ordered, and on the dot, their guy arrived on site. 2 new Goodyears for £107. Great service.
Man with no D3 anymore, but cant leave the forum....how sad.
