Hi yes the engine runs and fuel does flow out of the vale when depressed.
My fault is p2290.
To day i took out the lp pump and inspected it and i checked all fuel lines and blew air through them the i changed the hp pump as i had a brand new one that i keep as stock.... all this broight no joy and still have p2290 i floor the throtle and leave it full..... i get a chime and the car starts to go down(deflate corners) and i loose the power and gearbox gets stuck in F
The lp pump has been changed less than a year ago.

Any pics of the gauge connectors?
Also, check thefuel filter and/or replace with genuine or Mahle.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Hi,
a year ago I broke down (limp mode: susp, gearbox ...) on the highway by 40 degrees celsius in the south of France 150 km from my home.
After three attempts to clear the DTCs I resign myself to calling the tow truck.
The car was just coming out of the dealership for replace automatic gearbox.
I begged for the car dealership to pick up the vehicle.
On the my IIDTOOL: Multiples DTCs
Only one does not concern Communication : P0087-00 (2F) Fuel rail/system pressure - too low
The foreman tells me that the fault comes from the handbrake module.
I doubt it, I ask him to check thelowfuel circuit.
He refuses…it drags… I write to Land Rover customer service: reply by mail : « Get your car or we will charge you for the caretaking"
2 months later the breakdown, I have finally control
Pressure 0.3 bar and at idle pressure fluctuates a lot or even negative. Thepump does not force and draws only 3A.
I base myself on theRobbiesguide whom I thank.
I change thepump twice (one oem, one genuine). The tank cover too.
That’s worst. I do not understand.
I give up a bit.
Finally with the lockdown i start again.
I check each hose
I discover by blowing in thefuel return part (connected tothe tank) is not so simple that it looks like it. I feel something move inside while blowing backwards.
On its portion closest tothe filter it serves as a feed tothe front circuit).
After dissection I discover this small part:
In thefuel system from MY2007 it replaces the small hole of the previous filters.
Without this part perfectly in place, most of thefuel returns directly tothe tank leaving the bulk of the pumping work tothe HPFP pump (by suction).
I order a new part

According to my last tests, thepressure is finally good today.

P0087 low fuel pressure code
Bit of a long one dont want to start a new thread getting p0087 lowfuelpressure.
So far hpfp lpfp all wires are good lpfp is drawing the correct current so were all good there. New pressure rail sensor so pretty much everything changed. Including the relay. New fuel filter at the same time weve change the lpfp.
Goes into limp mode only in the summer never the winter all live data for the injectors show in range and now the leak back test looks ok.
Egrs removed and blanked were getting 6psi at thefuel rail.
Anything weve overlooked ??

Do you have the possibilty to measure the high pressure system at the rail with a gauge?
At the same time you should look the live value of fuelpressure with e.g. an IID-tool.
Do this with cold engine and also warmed up engine. At idle around 300bar is good.
Also check the reference voltage 5V at the yelliw/green wire at thefuelpressure sensor.
Best with a scope or use live value with IID-tool.
And check 12V supply at the VCV and PCV. Volume and Pressure control Valve at the HPFP.
With a scope you can look for peaks and lows while rattling at the wires and connectors.
So I have found a loose contact in the wiring topressure sensor in my Disco some weeks ago.

Well live date is purfect, hpfp all good lowpressure all good all sensors and connections in the engine bay all good and or replaced.
Gonna pull the ecu tomorrow

I'm stumped (Disco 3 57 plate TDV6 Auto)
I suspect the LPFP. Car starts and runs fine, but under load like up even a gently hill or after an overtake, BONG - Limp mode etc. Stop, restart and the car runs fine either for another 100 miles, or more recently until its under load. NO CODES other than an occasional low rail pressure warning
Using Robbiesguide I checked the voltage at fuse 1 and its fine. I measured the amps and it was reading 3.5 but now......wait for it.....it reads ZERO amps so you'd think thepump wasn't running. But turn the ignition on and I can hear thepump cycle up! I can take the fuse out and still thepump cycles up.
Thepressure at the valve was only 5psi when I managed to test it last week.
Any ideas?
Addendum - 2 weeks ago when I started the car thefuel gauge read ZERO when I knew I had half a tank - this was after (in an attempt to fix the above issue) I replaced the filter with a LR genuine one. I thought the tank had emptied but after driving about 10 miles, the gauge slowly rose to where it should be. Must be related somehow.

5 psi seems OK in these summer temps if its without fluctuation but check carefully the earths. Also the FP relay as this can sometimes be faulty. (You could try swapping for a similar rated relay)yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Ok. So further developments. A land rover specialist I called said it sounded like an air issue and that I should try to get the car up to him to clear off all the old codes that non-LR readers often fail to do. As a test, I decided to try the journey with the MAF sensor unplugged and it didn't go limp once either up hills or kicking down.
So I was sure it was the MAF but when he put a new one on the new one had the same readings as the old one so he suggested I didn't shell out for a new MAF when potentially it is a boost issue (I can't see that because when it doesn't go into Limp, it goes like a train)
All my IC pipes seem to be in order so I'm not sure.
Can a MAF sensor just play up intermittently like that without throwing any codes? Should I buy a new MAF sensor?

What is the exact fault code ID after the limb Mode comes up ? Best read this with a Land Rover tool or Gap IID tool for example.

Absolutely no fault codes whatsoever read with LR tool. None.
I’m beginning to suspect a garage hasn’t blanked off my EGR valves and this maybe causing the issue

There's something not right there if you're getting "limp mode" and bongs etc but no codes?
There has to be a code logged if you are getting these warnings as you can't have one without the other!
Try another diagnostic tool, GAP or Nancom.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ
