Hi All
This may be a stupid question, but it is prudent that I ask now that I have a nice dent and ripple in my ds rear door.
Whilst off roading on some nice tracks, I had the misfortune to slide into a rut and crease the skin on the ds rear door. At least I made it through!
Anyway, my stupid question is are the doors different between a Disco 2 and Disco 3? Just the bare shells, I can swap everything else over....
I have photos and video if anyone is interested...?
Cheers

Completely different I'd have thought. D3 & D4 you'd have a chance but not D2.

Yes. When I got back to my car and had a look the Disco 2 has a full width crease whereas the Disco 3 doesn't. Damn. Lots of Disco 2 doors for cheap and I just missed out on a cheap Disco 3 door....
Cheers

Just do what one of the chaps on here did, just wear the dent like a badge of honour until the right door comes up at the right price. For him the price was the most important bit so it took years.

my D3 slid into a rut on a blind summit and gave the door and wing a nice WHAMMY. I need a new drivers door in Zambezi silver lol. if I find anything ill pass it your way.
everyone moans and says why are you ruining you nice car. however the car is a 4x4 and will be used now and then as a 4x4. if she gets hurt its my own fault and im willing to put her in harms way.

I just looked and there is an Australia wide company
PDR - Paintless Dent Removal.....
There must be more
Just ask some dealers - they use them 'coz they are cheaper BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

I know who that is - mine is just dented but I'm not looking to replace or repair it at the moment - because if I do I'll have to thrash the new one with some gorse to make it match the rest of the car. Mark.

Funny but the guy who fixes dents in my cars over the years emigrated to Aus for a couple of years but came home as Mrs was missing family etc.
Went to see him in October and he was showing me photo's of cars that he fixed whilst he was over there - the damage from hailstones was incredible - could not believe he got the dents out

Hi All
PDR is not an option. The paint cracked and lifted. I'm not concerned, as this is the reason I bought the car - to go off-roading.
Got one price back of $795 +shipping for a bare door in the same colour. The door still works and it is only cosmetic. I can wait for a better price.
Regards
Scott
