Brake switch or bulbs. Swap for the d4 rear lights and problem will go away

It's gotten far worse....

We managed to drive home last evening.....
This morning got 2 + miles from home & another bong
Engine system fault
And limp mode......just over 1000 revs with transmission in drive
So movement is just to get you to safe place
Is this the way it works ?
Engine off engine on same result
I tried a hard reset - this didn't make things different
Besides falling on the short sword......waiting for recovery
What are the possibilities ?
Can a transmission fault invoke this ?
Or if it says engine - it is the engine controls in some respect ?
 BREXIT - done properly.

When that happened to me it was my entry into CFT. Not the veins but the turbo itself so new one fitted.

What's....

It is an achronism I have seen before
Call for thunderbirds ?
Consider 'effin temptation ? ......& buy a new vehicle

I guess the line you have drawn Robbie is one that I have crossed at some time or a stuck - key

Okey Dokey

Maybe at 93k miles it's had its day
Sat here in the rain waiting for recovery
Racking my brains to think what the letters want
What heralds an 'effect turbo ?
Noises ?
Lack of something ?
Up to now including getting home last night performance "ok"
Is it new turbo or fix the turbo ?
Big difference in cost ?
Swmbo'd is hankering "new vehicle" I'm as yet
The love affair is on hold......

Really odd as was elsewhere on here showing my ignorance of variable vane turbos......
Probably karma......for posting - but there you go
The next thing will be someone lamping me.....the clarkson effect
Now I did dream about winning the lottery .......
Maybe just maybe ....
 BREXIT - done properly.

What I have been told .....

The fault codes are:
P0104
P0100
P004600
& the guy said "egr" valve or valves...
If this is going to be sorted is this "best fix"
Blank the egr's or replace them ?
What else do you do as preventative medicine ?
Would it be with getting turbo stripped & cleaned for example ?
This disco stays with me till the new one is out & been out for maybe 6 or 9 months?
It's a holding excercise where I do the got to be done things only in this time I may over another 20 k miles [/code]

also the engine is sounding fine on start & up to 1000 revs/min & to 2500 revs min
however there is a different smell to exhaust - not lube oil just different ?
