Faults

Hi
Wandering if anyone can help.
I have an 07 disco 3. Wasn't using it so I parked it up in the shed. It has sat in there for about 5 weeks and went to start it the other day but when I turn the key all the lights on the dash come on but it won't turn over. Just brings up loads of faults on the dash and an F where it tells you what gear you are in when in manual. Temp gauge also goes right up and and brings on the light at the top of it. Suspension has also dropped right down as well. I put a new battery in but didn't make any difference. I can't even get it out of park to get it to the garge. Lever is moving ok and bring up D N R P ok but it is still stuck in park.
Any body any ideas what I can check or how I even get it out of park. I've checked all fuses and all seem to be ok.
Thanks David

There is a release cable for the park brake under the cover behind the park brake switch. Loop on end of cable, use screwdriver and pull like you think it's going to break. Thumbs Up

Thanks for the reply
Yeah I know about the release for the park brake but the park brake is going on and off with the button but all 4 wheels are still locked when the brake goes off. If I pull that lever will it unlock the wheels and does it damage the handbrake in any way?

It shouldn't damage anything but don't know if it needs reset. Only used it once and that was years & years ago, can't remember what happened as she was still under warranty and just chucked it back at the dealer.

Yeah I had to pull it a time before and it cost me 1500 quid to get it fixed but I think the handbrake was already wrecked that time. They put it on the rolling road at the mot centre and pulled it on and shattered the handbrake. Just wandering if it will damage it again.

A 4 wheel drive car CANNOT go on a rolling road it must be taken on a test drive for a mot unless they have a 4 wheel brake tester which i've never seen in a mot bay Question

Pulling the EPB release will require it to be re-latched, either manually or with a diagnostic tool. Thumbs Up

How do you do it manually?
Anyone any ideas why it won't start or even turn over?

Done the hard reset but didn't do any good. Checked the ecu done the brake light switch and still the same. The gearbox seems to be stuck in park. Gear lever is moving ok and bringing P R N D up on the dash but I don't think it is going into them cos I can take the key out of the ignition when the lever is in any position. Anyone anymore ideas
