Have you dis-charged the battery?- the radio and SatNav shut down when battery power is low.It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Have you done the hard reset yet? When my audio system shut down for no reason, that's how I fixed it. I've had the stereo stay on too, none of the controls worked and the display was blank but on it played. A hard reset fixed it that time too. I've had no stereo faults since I replaced the battery.Freelander SE 2005 Auto.

It may not be in the settings and it probably wont be the same as another D3 it sounds as if you have altered the ccf settings and you need to revert back to the original ccf as before please read the instructions and it will become clear on how you can save and restore the original files for your car.I never read instruction manuals but i did with this as i did not want a 3 tonne paper wait stuck on my drive Discovery 3 se gone

The stereo does not work. It wont light up with the headlight on either. Cant do a hard reset as my car is in the street and no garage. Will have to check out my friend's set up as it is exactly like mine both commercial. And will study the manual!!

Hard reset first. But don't worry about your settings as the tool tales a copy of the vehicle as it found it the first time it was plugged in. Even if you cannot get the restore to work those nice chaps at Gap can recover the backup. Even if you broke the tool with a hammer they could still provide a copy of the 'as built' files as programmed into your vehicle they day it left the production line.
