Following on from my epic fault with the locking rear diff since owning the G4..... Pat at GAP and I have identified a possible issue, but we could do with checking that the IID Toold is getting the correct readings for the Locking Rear Diff ECU temp sensor......is there anybody local to me that would happy for me to pop round and connect up the IID Tool for 5 mins, or somebody who has an IID Tool and a locking rear diff who would able to check theirs for me? (Must be IID Tool, not Faultmate)

Mine:
Andy's:
Looks like Pat got the software spot on
I figured the Blue & White wires running from the Rear Diff up to the ECU are +/- for the motor temp sensor, but not yet sussed what feeds the clutch tmep sensor??
Again big thanks to g4 fergy and good to meet you today

Well that's certainly a help
Check out a similar problem Andy had with the TCCM.
Yep, I had that in mind TBH.....think a helper and some continuity testing between the ECU plugs and the Diff plugs in order.
BTW, how does that connector attached/ detach from the Rear Diff.....handy to know as I'll have to work blind to get it off I guess

The sensor just screws in. Might be worth replacing or taking out and checking resistance in cold/hot water?
Thanks for all the offers of help.....now fixed
