Changing from mpg to km/l ... I'm not sure if this is possible, but if it is you will definitely need someone with access to a faultmate/autologic/iidtool.

AUX jack... it's not there. The cable from the head unit terminates in the passenger footwell, behind the kick panel. You can retro fit the missing loom and jack it in it's original place (behind the cubby box) but you'll need to take a fair bit of the interior apart. Or else cut the wires, solder an aux socket to the cut wires somewhere accessible to you.

aux jack up front

I connected an extra aux jack in the front. I spliced into the wires in back. Just make sure you put a blank in the rear aux port, if you have one.

Narpy's Grill Mod, Suspension Rods, Ultra guage, wrangler Goodyear duratracs 265/60/18, new thermostat, diff oils changed, brake switch new, aluminum rack floor, LED driving lights in foglights, rear camera, just need gvif unit, next on list! New front arb bushings, new front valve block, 191,000 miles.

Nope no rear aux port in the poor man's model D3.

The aux outlet at the rear of the head unit terminates in a big fat grey connector in the left side footwell kick panel. On higher spec models there is the other half of the connector attached, plus the remaining part of the loom from there to the rear of the cubby box.

In the absence of the 2nd part of the loom, you simply cut the wires at the grey connector (they're normal left, right and ground), solder a stereo audio cable to the wires (a bit of a pain of a job due to the awkward soldering position Very Happy) and run the audio cable to somewhere convenient and fit a 3.5mm socket there.

In my CarPC implementation I soldered a socket directly to the wires at the grey connector, then ran a male-to-male audio cable from the line out socket of the CarPC to the newly soldered socket in the footwell. So AUX on the stereo head unit plays all sound from the CarPC (i.e. GPS, MP3s etc etc). Worked brilliantly. Did it 4 years ago and it's still going strong Wink
