so if I get this correctly, in order to do wheel alignment:
1. Go to the wheel alignment shop, then set suspension to TTM.
2. Once wheel alignment is done, vehicle on level surface + steering straight, then recalibrate Steering Angle Sensor ECU

Hi guys, how strict is the requirement for a full tank of fuel before doing wheel alignment?
lower control arm bushes were replaced yesterday & afterwards wheel alignment, but the vehicle is now pulling even more to the left.
as soon as I drive over a small bump/manhole cover, the steering jolts to the left --

The dealer took the vehicle for wheel alignment, but it is still drifting a bit to the left.
Should I do a a Steering Angle Sensor ECU recalibration to see if that will help?--

TTM isn't a mandatory requirement. Many owners rely on the accuracy of the Hunter equipment if they can't get access to a diag system for TTM and don't suffer any problems.
This is not the case with recalibrating the steering angle sensor, you MUST do this after the alignment is complete. Failure to do so will cause a whole host of lights, bongs and suspension issues.Mods:

Cheers
Sounds like a trip to the dealers afterwards or a local independent for the reset
No immediate rush as tyres have some life left in them

Put a shout out for a local member with the diag kit who could maybe help out.
The steering angle sensor recalibration takes the whole of 2 secs, a local member would do that for very little, a dealer might charge you the whole hour. Mods:

If you have an Independent LR place nearby check them out and see if they have the gear. Mine does and only charges £90 for the full monty alignment and they get it spot on every time
Lets face it, they require so much maintenance in the suspension department all of which seems to need replacing at different times I was soon on first name terms with my local Indy after my 3rd Wheel Alignment visit!!Discovery 4 HSE

I'm about to get my alignment done next week, mainly to correct the steering wheel position which isn't straight and annoys me I've got the IID Tool. When I recalibrate the steering angle sensor is it a simple case of pressing yes to carry out the recalibration or are there options that I will need to choose?
Thanks

I'll be getting the alignment done next Friday so if you haven't had an answer by then I'll let you know The IID usually tells you what to do so I'll be guided by that.D4 GS 12MY

Touching wood here, but.....
I get my 4 wheel alignment done about once or twice a year or straight after any suspension work. If something is starting to wear its replaced. Never put it in TTM or had the steering angle sensor aligned after, couldn't tell how full the tank is. All tyres wear evenly, doesn't pull left or right and dead straight on the brake. I've owned this 2006 D3 since 2010 and I've put up 200k on it.
