disco break down and the AA

So it was Friday afternoon, been looking on here about secret menu's and all sorts of mystical things you can do in the settings. So i have the ignition on for just under 10 minutes. Turned the ignition off waited a second and turned it all on again. Went to start the beast and BANG. Disco was completely dead. No power to anything. No lights. No alarm flash. Didnt lock. Nothing. Only had the car just under 2 weeks. Spent donkeys trying to find main fuses which had blown. Wires anything. But the fault still unknown. So called the AA. I carried on searching for this fault whilst waiting for the AA but to no luck. I got the call and due to where i work had to go and collect the guy. Got to my car and the car was fine. Nothing wrong with it.

What on earth was this about?
So not only did the car fix itself. I look like an idiot.

Loose connection on battery cables?
This is when you need a multimeter to do a quick check on battery voltage, both at the battery terminals and between body/chassis and live fuses.
