I have only recently acquired my Discovery 3 and joined this forum tonight.
So far I am delighted with the car, but was a bit alarmed travelling at 70 ish on the A14 when the drivers side finishing panel parted company with the frame and was held on only by the closed bonnet.
I re fixed it (or so I thought) but the same thing happened some weeks later. Is this a common occurrence and can anyone please suggest why it happens and what I might do to prevent its recurrence in future.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
Many thanks and kind regards,Everyday is a good day

Hi and welcome to the show .
I assume you mean the a pillar trims ? Has it had a windscreen fitted . If so it's possible the fitters were not over conscientious and they might not of renewed the clips . They are available to buy separately from site sponsor advanced factors You're not afraid of the dark are you ?
Thanks for replying. Yes I do mean the Pillar trim, but I do not know if the screen has been replaced - I will have a closer look later today.
Thanks for the clips suggestion - I will check that out later as well.
Kind regards,

You may find that the pegs on the trim itself are missing/damaged, some windscreen fitters are ham-fisted and snap them off.
A new trim isn't expensive.
But worth checking for missing clips first 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
