D3 Lying down on passenger side |
|
Hi,
Hopefully I can get some advice here about what seems to be a suspension issue, I have searched here over the last few weeks but can't find anyone with the exact same issue:
If my Disco3 is parked up for say a whole day/night the suspension seems to drop on one side more so back passenger side seems to be lying down on that side front seems to be down too but not a much as back.. All passenger side from what I can see..
If left for more then a day then it looks worse so it's gradually dropping..
When I start it up it does seem to level itself out okay so the issue is when it's parked up..
Anyone know the reason for this..? Is it a compressor prob or an air leak somewhere..
Any help really appreciated.. Thanks in advance..

Sounds like an air leak or a height sensor but if it *only* does it when parked, then a leak is most likely. Try following the procedure here: http://disco3.co.uk/forum/topic115180.html...eque+sheet to check height drop over time.

Thanks for the info..
It hasn't thrown up any lights so would their still be fault codes??
Also is there a particular area that might be leaking in your opinion??
Just looking for best advice I can get before heading to Landrover Dealership who are charging €120ph just to look at it and most likely recommend changing the whole air system rather then finding the fault itself..
Thanks

Lights come and go but fault codes remain I'm not sure but it's probably worth checking if you can find someone locally who could read the codes for you.
Follow the check sheet procedure to isolate the corner that's the issue then get some soapy water spray, apply liberally and see if you can see any bubbles indicating an air leak. Could be a connection, could be an air bag.
There is also a good video on YouTube which I'd recommend you watch

Thanks a lot for the video, very informative and the fact mine is only reallydropping on the back passenger side it's definitely looking like an airbag too me.. What kind of bucks are those fetching and are they a big job to fit..
My local mechanic wouldn't be all too familiar with LR unfortunately, I'll see will his diagnosis tool pick up anything my D3.
Incidentally if anyone knows a decent LR technician in Ireland pass on his details, northeast area preferably.. I can't seem to find anyone who has worked on these and I'm noticing a few other potential issues that may need attention soon..
Thanks Again
