Day Time Running Lights
Is there a quick and easy way to get my 2005 D3 low beam to work with the ignition switch or similar so that they are on all the time as its a legal requirement in CH ?

I think you need to edit the CCF to enable "Scandinavian Running Lights".
Do you have an IIDTool or similar?

Why not just add some extra lights like halo rings? Much cheaper than buying a tool etc and look extremely OEM IMHO:
They are in my fog lights and cost about £10 and a bit of wiring in just another option if you only want DRLs 07 Java Black TD V6 D3, EGRs Blanked, Tow bar, Full dog guard & divider, LED Spots , DRLs, GG ATs, RLD Sump guard, RLD Spare Wheel Protector, D4 LED Rear Lights, Limo tints on boot and Midnight tint on rear windows, Kenwood screen with Garmin nav, Rear cameras, D4 Steering wheel with flappy paddles, T-max split charge system, Tree sliders, Prospeed roof rack & Ladder, Alisport fast road inter cooler,

Sailorboi, I have some halo rings somewhere,
How are these fitted?
Do you have to pull the fog lights apart, ? Do you need a switch, what wiring required etc etc ?
Any info appreciated, the more idiot proof the better
Thanks

I wired straight to the pollution sensor cable behind the front grill. Easy to wire in too and goes live as soon as car wakes up and off when car goes to sleep. So, on as soon as you unlock car..... Off after a short delay. Also used an ebay DRL controller so go off when main lights go on.
Cheap mod and looks good in my opinion.

You don't really need a DRL controller, just a relay or two. Current: Discovery 3 06MY (55 reg) HSE Auto Zambezi Silver Allisport Fast Road Intercooler, V8 Brakes, Silicone IC Hoses, EGRs Blanked, Remapped, De-Cat pipe, FBHIC

Disco 3 06 reg B7S Manual Rimini Red
Disco 2 TD5 Y reg ES Manual Blue - Chipped

Just while we are talking about DRL's.
Please remember that they are only front lights. I see numerous cars going about in the dusk/rain/mist with no rear lights.
Just a wee safety thing
Thanks

Sure and if its daylight with the Scandinavian settings you automatically have the front lights on (in Auto) and then when its dark the rear lights come on automatically too ? if so the best of both worlds
