| lower tailgate won't open! |

Hi Guy's
I am new to this forum. i own a 1997 defender 300 tdi 110 and my wife owns the 2006 lr (disco 3).
We live in Northern BC Canada. We love our rovers but i have a small problem i can't solve!
My wives 2006 lr3 (lower) tailgate won't open. I researched it online and found a lot of the actuator problems. But this is not the case with ours. ( i think) The upper one opens, the lower is stuck. the right side is open but the left side is locked tight. i tried force etc no luck!
When i push the lock and unlock at the same time i hear the clunk etc. it looks like it all works except the right side.
Any thoughts?
The dealer is 800 miles away so no option there.

And it's fixed. The guy's from the d-90 forum knew what the problem was.
