Cheers Narpy, I wonder if its the brake pedal switch? I've had no suspension work so not sure it would be the steering angle sensor?2005 Discovery 3 HSE

It could be but tbh, there's a number of possible causes and worn or out of alignment steering and suspension components, is only one possible cause.
Best advice is to get the codes read and go from there. Mods:

It could even be the battery as I seen a low power mode flash up on the radio on a cold start last week.2005 Discovery 3 HSE

I have had this problem and it has been driving me nuts.
I have changed brake light switch , transfer case ecu and checked miles of wiring.
I have recalibrated the steering angle sensor because in tbe straight ahead position it was showing -5.
Fingers crossed its sorted now

All the ideas above are valid but I would always start at the battery/alternator, especially when its just got a bit colder.
