Deep water suspension fault
Hello, I went through a lot of deep water today in my D3. Was in off road height. At some points the compressor must have been under the water.
I got a suspension fault flash up on the dash the truck stayed the height it was set at and would return to normal height aswell. I don't have a code reader so can't see what the code was.
I have since left the truck to dry out. I have just taken it out again and all seem fine again.
Are the air compressors water tight?
I have done abit of searching but can't find th information I'm looking for.

They must be, standard wading depth of the D3 is 60 or 70 cm from memory... the compressor is submerged at that point.

I would have thought that it is more likely to be a ride height sensor that has got dirty water in it.Prince Harry's D3: G4 factory equipped D3 - expo rack, winch, roof lights, ladder, active locking rear diff, RAI, Melville & Moon seat covers, General Grabber ATs/ Goodyear Duratrac

Its seems to have sorted itself out now. So hopefully it will dry out and be ok. Are them sensor abit temperamental to paying up when they are wet?

Yes, they can be. Mine got some grit in them too. Give them a good spray with ACF50 or WD40Prince Harry's D3: G4 factory equipped D3 - expo rack, winch, roof lights, ladder, active locking rear diff, RAI, Melville & Moon seat covers, General Grabber ATs/ Goodyear Duratrac

You would need to ask someone more electrically competent (like Robbie or Wiggs) to be certain, but if, as you say, the problem has gone away you could spray the outside it will help keep water out.Prince Harry's D3: G4 factory equipped D3 - expo rack, winch, roof lights, ladder, active locking rear diff, RAI, Melville & Moon seat covers, General Grabber ATs/ Goodyear Duratrac

Unplugging them does not change the calibration.
