Help with MY66 model

Hi all,

Feeling a bit down today, my MY66 is not at it's best and seems to be having several issues and fault codes Sad , here's what I managed to read with my IID tool:

- P2290 "Injector control pressure too low"
Symptoms Not clearing the fuel out of the system resulting in excessive fuel staying inside model and adding on some quite considerable additional weight
- P0405-00 (2E) "Exhaust gas recirculation sensor A- circuit low"
Symptoms I seem to get a huge increase in gases escaping and when they do there is a very 'odd' smell associated with those gases. The exit area for the gases seems quite worn, not sure if the exit valve is working as it should
- B1C34-13 (2F) "Steering column telescopic solenoid"
Symptoms This seems very floppy and has plenty of play in it, it does seem to stiffen at times but very infrequently
- U0122 "Lost Communications with Vehicle Dynamics Control Module"
Symptoms very odd indeed, find it hard to corner or go up steep inclines, get wobbly suspension issues, especially in the joints

I'm also having issue with the paint, what was a fine deep colour now seems to have lost most of its shine, indeed in a certain light it even looks Gray. Some of the paintwork is thinning and I can even see the bare metal underneath

So I'm feeling quite low indeed today, any help or advice would be gratefully received Big Cry

Cheers
Iggy

Time to upgrade to get that much sought after 'new smell' again.

Not so sure about getting that "new smell" back but a tin of expanding foam should sort the uncontrolled gas escapes which are making such a pong!!

Thumbs Up HAPPY BIRTHDAY Thumbs Up

All these problems on such a new model, you could maybe flush the system with a C2H5OH solution to see if that helps Whistle

I have exactly the same model year......the last time it went for an MOT the nice lady told me the fluids I had been putting in didn't meet the recommended specification, and she thought perhaps I was overfilling it.
I told her it seemed to be running fine, but I would keep an eye on the levels.
She also asked whether I smoked on start-up in the mornings, but I don't,which apparently is good for all models, but especially higher mileage ones.
She enquired whether I would like my internal combustion engine checked internally via the exhaust, but I thought we'd keep that till the next big service. Shocked

Happy birthday Thumbs Up
