Can't see it taking over - I've got a basic BB curve as a work phone - great for (short) emails and as a phone - and that's it - sadly to little to late IMO

I use the G10 which is great for business use as it does email/text/bbm etc better than android. Also I like a hard keyboard. However only criticism is screen size so although it looks awful this new BB may just be for me and others like me....

For me its all about what I can see on the screen:

I don't think it looks that bad and it's great to have something different in the market.

Make it high quality with glass and metal and they'll be on to an exec winner.

But then I had the Samsung P300 years ago...

I don't think that was meant to hit every sector of the smartphone market just certain professionals who have the need, I personally am not a fan of it.

I have a Z10 and to be fair it's a great phone, the only real issue leading to its demise was a serious lack of speed on behalf of BB to get the new OS10 updated and full of the features everyone wanted (not unusual from them sadly).

Now that OS10 has been fully updated it runs brilliantly and the app argument (I don't agree more apps is better half of them are pointless rubbish, quality not quantity) was solved by adding an inbuilt emulator that allows android apps to be installed. I have many now and not one fails to work properly.

It's a shame that BB never picked their feet up earlier and they may bow out of the smartphone sector in due course and concentrate on their software and security. The less competition in markets the more we are forced to buy the same old, competition drives development.

Now just in case anyone thinks I am a die hard BB fan, this was my first ever BB and it has not crashed, failed, stalled or broken once which is pretty impressive I reckon. I used to be a mostly Nokia purchaser but sadly they were too slow to jump on the new smartphone market and after buying one of the first Lumia 800 phones I soon realised how poor they had become and shifted as it crashed daily and ate its battery faster than a FF with the lights left on Laughing
