but only around 1500rpm, isn't it? That's what I have now.
Ordered some Dr. Tranny to put that in the gearbox. If that will fix the problem (temporary) I'm sure it is the TC.
Keep us posted, maybe I can skip this step en keep my Dr. Tranny for later.2017-...: Disco II Td5 auto, 1999, BAS remap, HD TC and auto box Ashcroft, Allisport IC, ACE, 2" lift only coils, BF goodrich KM2 265/70R17, FF front and rear bumper, TF steering guard and tree sliders, nanocom.

My guess Steve is that you don't have a TC problem.
Sounds suspension related.

Been out on a long drive today and it's started to get worse I think, so many possible options as to what's causing the faults from reading on here - and so many horror stories.
A few times today on the motorway at 50/60 it felt like I was driving over the rumble strip (but wasn't) and with the judder at slower speeds a quick wiggle of the steering wheel slows that down.
On the plus side - all booked in for some TLC in a few weeks time so I will hopefully have an answer soon!

With just a stuck calliper (not warped disc, parking brake, etc), I would get what felt like a speed wobble/vibration at 100kph. After some time, it would clear and I could go faster.
It actually made me think that a wheel was falling off.

I have been through the judders and TC replacement route. Everything you say suggests to me that it is not TC related. Suspension, brakes or bearings would be my guess. I know that still leaves much to investigate.2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

Well been out today today - and the judder is worse, but is now doing it upon braking, so looks like I need to park the car up until Flack comes round.

When mine was doing that it was caused by one of the EPB shoes rubbing, after a strip and adjust it was all fine.IID PRO

Well I managed to get my puncture repaired in the end, and one of your tyres put onto my spare for £19 all in - so a good deal there!
Flack has spent the afternoon on the drive working his magic, and has given the D3 a full service and given me a few possible options as to the judder. I don't want to tempt fate but I have been on a short drive tonight and couldn't feel it anymore - will see tomorrow on a longer drive.

Ahhhh. It's back again! I'm totally lost now. How can I prove one way or another what's at fault!
Today driving slow say 20mph I get a grinding and rubbing sound from the rear wheels, and slight shudders when lightly breaking.
Then driving along in a 30mph zone up a hill got the same shudders felt through the floor and pedals. no real movement in the revs and speed was maintained, I got the passenger to film this - you can see revs stay same until a gear change as the hill increased.
Then when I got onto the motorway and left a 50 zone I got another video of me hitting the accelerator hard. The revs shoot up, followed by the speed.
Is there any real way to prove it is or isn't the TC?
Tomorrow I will have a look at the rear brakes but all was ok earlier in the week.

I'd add two tubes of Dr Tranny and see if that sorts it. If it does, you know problem is gearbox/TC area, probably TC. Only odd bit is you said it also shudders under braking. I'd deffo try Dr Tranny route to narrow down source for minimal investment.
