What Mileage should a Cam Belt Be changed?
I am getting mixed reply's as to the exact mileage as to when I should have a cam belt change on my 2005 Disco 3 2.7 manual. Your views welcome.

I think that it is very straightforward: 105k miles or 7 years whichever occurs first. If it is a 2005 and has never had a new belt then you are already very much on borrowed time regardless of the mileage.

As has been said.
What's your current mileage? If over 105,000, as Discoteca said, was it done then? If so, it'd be due again either 7 years later or at the next 105,000, whichever comes first.
If not, it is well overdue even if under it's first 105,000.
Mine will be 7 years in Feb 2016 and, though it'll be well under 105,000, I'll be having it done.Arthur.

Had mine done 2 months ago at 7 years old & less than 105k on the clock... timing belt still looked in great shape but one of the tensioners was noisy & the fuel pump belt was showing its age... also had the Oil pump & water pump done at the same time...Admin on Facebook Discovery 3 & 4 Ownersgroup
