I need to replace the Goodyear Wranglers 255/60/18R soon, and am interested from forum in experience with other tyres.
I did have a set of Bridgestone dueller HPs on a few years ago, but got lousy mileage ~40K km out of them.
I see Vredestein Quatrac 3 via Dunlop ZA dealers are at a very good price (significantly less expensive than other brand name tyres), but also have read good reviews in this forum on the Pirelli ATRs.
90% road use, unlikely to change.
Any advice, experience? D3 TDV6 HSE, 2007, Gemini Dual battery System

IIRC Baben had Vredestein put on; check with him?

Had same experience as you with Duellers - I only managed 35 000. I now use Pirelli ATR s on 19" set and 18" set and seem OK. Not much better on life than the Duellers but certainly better on wet/dry grip and not too bad off road - I was worried at first with the apparent 'soft' sidewalls of the Pirellis but have not had a single sidewall problem in Bots...............but I do always carry 2 x spares!
Pirellis also much cheaper than Bridgstones, particularly 19" Life always good with a Landy

Thanks, from the various posts on the many LR forums, it seems the Pirelli ATR's are a good buy. Just returned fro Rhodes, E Cape. Copped a nasty tear puncture with my Goodyear Wranglers.
I did a trip down the Beyers Naude "tyre strip"- best price on 4 x Pirelli ATRs = R9'912.00 incl. balancing and wheel alignment at Continental Tyre centre. Garren gave great service and advice.
They feel great, going to KNP this weekend and will try them out on the long road and good dust of KNP. D3 TDV6 HSE, 2007, Gemini Dual battery System
