What front/rear strut brand to purchase |
|
I need to replace all four corners of the D3 with shocks and air springs. Looking on the web, there are so many different brands to choose from, LR/Dunlop/Delphi/PR2 Dunlop/OEM etc.
The price varies greatly from around £132 to £255 depending on brand.
Clearly some of these brands are not made by the brand itself, so are probably bought in, and rebranded.
So what are good brands to purchase? I was thinking of the Delphi's.
Any comments/experiences?
Thanks
John

John,
Some have appeared in the Advanced Factors storefront:

But no price on them yet. Maybe give Steve a call?

Work in progress for me, just sorting a sensible source and price. So nothing this week. Paul Redding

Yes, been in touch with Steve already, but I need them this week, as my D3 is on axle stands with all removed awaiting new ones to be fitted.
I think I'll go with the Delphi's.
Thanks

I'm thinking of going the same route and getting Delphis
Where are you getting them from and what's the damage? Lee
D3 TDV6 HSE, Bonatti Grey, 7 Seats, Dual Climate, Heated F&R Seats & Screen, Fog's , Auto lights & Wipers, SAT NAV, Harmon Kardon, Cruise, many rattles, occasional leak
D2 3.9 V8 supposed to be Green, was mainly rust. Gone but not forgotten.

Does anybody know if the struts come with the new VOSS connector, or does this have to be purchased separately?
I've tried to check on M-Cat, and cannot see a part number, although they say you need to discard and renew.
Any ideas?
Thanks

AH OK thanks Martin.
I bought them from Island 4x4, and cost £720 for all 4 including VAT with free delivery.

They should come with new ones. If you opted for the Delphi ones, they do
Although, if you are careful, you can reuse them My D3 Build Thread
