| Best place to fit or recon engine. |
|
Hi all.. Im after someone to supply a recon or recon of fit a engine I supply. I know of great people on Scotland who would do it but I'm in Milton Keynes bucks so need a more local person.
I can deliver it to them. I've had chats with some companies but do get the confidence that they'll do a thorough job.
2.7 2008 discovery.
Any recommendations...

Hi ya..
I've spoken to discomikey and I've had quotes of £500plus just to get the car to him, then I need to get it back. I'd choose to use him but are there any more discomikey's down south

PM Woody32. He lives in Taunton and rebuilt / replaced his D3 engine. He has a good reputation on here.

what as happened to your engine, if you have full main dealer svs history you might get a 50% contribution

I have just had my oil pump changed as its a 57 plate its done 132000 mls & lr gave me a contribution
and I brought it second and 2.5 years old from a Porsche dealers so depending on your history and to the fault with your engine In my case I pushed it and got some were as they know there is a crank issue and oil pump casing issue and if you get a 50% of the bill you will at least have lr warranty on that new engine and fitting good look hope you are back on the road asap

I'm in Newport Pagnell myself, so not a million miles from you.
I understand that John Dennis who is near Aylesbury (johndennis4x4.co.uk) has a good reputation. I ahven't used him myself, but have heard other members talk in positive terms.

IAWA at Wellingborough are worth a shout.
Ian's knowledge of D3's is fantastic and he is no rip off merchant. I have used IAWA for the last 5 years and dont have any compliants.
