Depending on which brand of sump guard one purchases will determine if you would still use those protective plates you currently have under your engine area. I will have full sump guards for sale in a few weeks time. They cover the front of the engine (around the tow hook area like shown in that link) all the under the engine to the back so it is a FULL sump guard!
These are laser cut from 3mm steel and will cost around £150 for the first batch of 5.
Will post more info and pictures once all goes together, including the other items that will be for sale.

The sump guards you can buy from the likes of Uncle Ray replace the towing eye cover and extend under the front part of the engine
