Front end rumbling/low pitch whine |
|
As per the thread title, I've got a rumbling/whine from the front end and I'm not sure where it's coming from. I did the brakes recently and couldn't feel any movement in the wheel bearings. It could be the CV joints, but they look and feel ok, although I haven't taken the rubbers off.
The last thing could be the diff and I'm really hoping it isn't. Is there a simple way to check it, such as lateral movement in the bearings, metal in the oil etc?
And if it is, how easy/difficult is it to change?

Sorry, I should have said, it's had a brand new set of tyres, so it's not them.
