I'd advise getting in touch with Steve at Advanced Factors.
AF supply the correct oils for the diff and transfer box.
I got the Castrol Syntrax for mine. Lee
D3 TDV6 HSE, Bonatti Grey, 7 Seats, Dual Climate, Heated F&R Seats & Screen, Fog's , Auto lights & Wipers, SAT NAV, Harmon Kardon, Cruise, many rattles, occasional leak
D2 3.9 V8 supposed to be Green, was mainly rust. Gone but not forgotten.

Land Rover recommends Castrol SAF-XO 75W90 for front and rear diff.
The manual says 0,61 l for the front and 1,1 l for the rear diff.
Remember, first remove the filling plug.......

Saf-xo has now been replaced by Castrol Syntrax Long Life. Same stuff, different bottle.
Be careful as there's also castrol syntrax limited slip, which is for BMW diffs.
The centre transfer box is 1.51L of LR Special Transfer Box Oil. Haven't found anyone who can prove anything else is the same spec, so I always use the genuine stuff. Bodsys Brake Bible

Mmmm... That link doesn't show any of the diff oils. The only syntrax listed when I searched is the universal plus std one, not the long life one. Bodsys Brake Bible
