Unknown Modification?
I was poking around under the bonnet today and noticed I pair of wires coming out of a loom, (near offside headlight) it had a connector on the end covered in electricians tape that looked like whatever it was connected to had fallen out.
On closer inspection, once I unwrapped the tape, I found that the connector had been bridged with a piece of wire....
Does anybody have any clue why this might be like this?07 Land Rover Discovery III HSE

Bonnet switch
Obviously a faulty sensor, so has been bridged to turn the warning off. Seems to be becoming more and more of a standard feature on D3's now My D3 Build Thread
When I changed my switch is A) wasn't difficult and B) wasn't expensive.Mark.

It's not ideal bypassing the bonnet switch, there's been a few headlight and grille thefts... unless of course there is a separate switch for alarm and "bonnet open" dash warning...flickr

Plenty of RRS headlight thefts, not quite such an issue on D3'sMy D3 Build Thread
