I was having a little look at a new discovery and absolutely astounded how much they have gone up in price for a higher spec model. I appreciate 10 years have passed but the gulf between the ffrr and the discovery is narrowing. My hse when new was 40 grand I see it is now over 60 for an hse lux! That is a massive hike.
Looks like I will never be in a position to buy a new one now with prices going up as they are. 3 Flash Indicators

Don't think I'll buy another D4 TBH. The price is one thing, I accept its not cheap, but I don't use it for what it was intended, nor do I use it very much. A one year old car with 8k miles on the clock, bit of a waste IMHO.
It's going to cost me £475 in excise licence, £600 for the next service and uses fuel at 28 mpg.

Not only has the price gone up but the equipment spec has dropped. When I got the HSE in 2007 the only extras available were the TPMS and a TV. Now even the Adaptives are extra. Like for like replacement is between £55K and £60k.
Similarly specd RRS - £68k FFRR £80k
FFRR has had the least increase and seems the best value if you have £80k

Wonder how much the 2015 disco will be!
I know what you mean about the spec though. They charge a fortune for everything now. 3 Flash Indicators

There is no reason to think that it will be reduced. It will definitely go higher for 2015.

new D4 is € 110.000 here, about 90.000 pounts. You should consider yourself lucky. D3 V8 HSE Auto in Zermatt silver - driveway version gone but not forgotten, only the living room cupboard version remains
