Engine Flush: Snake Oil or...?

Planning my first DIY service and would like to know what we think of engine oil flush additives?

Do they actually work (and remove sludge from/clean the engine when changing the oil) or are they a complete waste of money? Which manufacturer is best (or are they all the same)? Wynns or Forte? Or some other make I've not considered?

Here's the Wynns one:

Here's the Forte one:

What do our various site sponsors use when doing a service on a TDV6?

Thanks,

Steve

My indy also uses the Forte engine flush. I'm interested to hear what others use (if anything)?

We use a flush (any brand) on our vans but only because we service them at 20,000 intervals (Just sold an 06 Partner with 294,000 on the clock)

I don't use anything on the Disco
