Did the message come back Fitzy, or just a one off? Maybe a sticky turbo bypass valve or similar, that just needs a bit of spirited driving to free it up?

Can I join in? Loads of warning lights on startup this morning - transmission, DSC, EPB......! Drove it for 30 mins, turned off & restarted - all gone! Magic! CTEK ordered....hope that will prevent a recurrence. Thanks to this forum that I did not panic!2010 D4 HSE Ipanema Sand on GY DTs (was on GG ATs)

It certainly has put me in my place, but I just love it and wouldn't have it any other way.
It is funny that Land Rover faults somehow seem acceptable, like Defenders that leak.
Sadly ridgeback_moor I think it was a spot of spirited acceleration that caused the problem, funnily enough on the way home from Helston. All seems fine today over a hundred miles or so and with further spirited acceleration it has been fine. Fingers crossed it was just down to it being in the dealers for a few weeks just being started up for a few minutes at a time.
Nice to see there are some other members in Cornwall as well.
Anyone can join in Captain Slog and I hope yours is still running ok after this mornings Land Rover moment.

Yes thanks. Came back this pm with no problems - in fact driving very smooth and OBC showing 36mpg average! (Not that I believe it, of course!)2010 D4 HSE Ipanema Sand on GY DTs (was on GG ATs)

Pleased to hear all seems to be well.
36 mpg, very nice if true! Mine is currently on 28 so I dread to think what that really is.

Yes! Just checked actual mpg brim to brim - 27 mpg. Not too bad as that was with only one journey of more than 50 miles and it might improve with warmer weather? 2010 D4 HSE Ipanema Sand on GY DTs (was on GG ATs)

Because...........my holiday fund account would now be up to £4000 instead of £300 thanks to the Land Rover

It is strange.
LR are one of the few manufacturers where faults are part of the LR experience.
You go through a roller coaster of emotions during LR ownership.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

I have been lurking here for nearly 4 years - had a D3 HSE for just over five months (three months of loveliness then 2 months of nightmare in and out of the garage, lying dealer etc). I keep hoping I might be able to bring myself to get a D4 but reading threads like this remind me to keep away

My D3 had to get its engine replaced under warranty at the grand old age of 2 with about 17k on the clock.
A great start to LR ownership. I'm now on my 6th LR product, wouldn't go past them.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green
