Nothing, that is for idiots who feel it is better to plug in one with the name of their device on, the total output is the total, it is shared between devices plugged in

silly question can you use those external battery back up as a second battery (ie you use your device while it charges)It takes all sorts (to make a world).

Yes, the newer model that you shake has different sizes available, search Anker on Amazon, these are more ergonomic with no external moving parts and kind of oval in shape, they have a 6000 and 9000, I also keep a lipstick shaped 3000 in my jacket pocket which gives an iphone 5 a full charge and a bit
The 15000 squarish one will charge an iphone more than 6 times, they claim the new 12000 will as well but I have only just got it and haven't tried yet
All Anker products come beautifully packaged and guaranteed, they are known in the business as one of the best for truthful battery volumes as some others sell poor quality with unrealistic claims.
