Halfords Pro tool chest offer
Halfords have a bundle offer for their Professional 7 drawer plus a 5 drawer tool chest which normally retail at £249 and £149 respectively. The bundle price is £199 for both which seems very good. Question is has anyone bought these and are they any good? This is a web only offer collect in store an hour later.
Decent quality, roller bearing draws, plenty of storage I.'m after the middle chest next but it never seems to be on offer Altox GSM FBH controller thread

I have both, Best thing I've ever bought, I used to have both in the back of my work van but only the bottom box fits in the back of the disco It has probably done 100,000 miles and all draws are still perfect.
Works really well though, top two draws open with bottom tailgate still shut.26 and on the 4th LR..

They are slightly better than my Clarke HD. I have 2 of these but have always had problems with the lower draw of one of them. The metal is never thick enough for my liking; however, they did fit under my bench.

It's become a bit of a 'that was then' shot. The garage is a right old state at the moment with a number of things on the go, plus some of the wife's stuff cluttering up the man cave.
Oh and Beanie hiding in there too.

Got the Ernst wrench racks from Santa just need to tidy the rest of my kit up
I have too much in the way of sockets so looking for a good storage system, currently the top of the top box has 50 1/2", 49 3/8" & 26 1/4" sockets plus extensions ratchets and impact deep and short set too

Ok, just bought and picked up the Halfords Industrial bundle. £299 for a huge wheeled base cabinet, and a substantial top tool chest. All in nice gloss black. Looks very impressive.
However, if you do go and collect it yourself, it is heavy! two big boxes, and you will need to flatten the seats in the Disco. Definitely a two man job to load.
A very annoying thing is the way that all the handles are covered in a clear protective film, to keep them nice and shiny, but its wrinkled and peeling off. I presume its supposed to removed prior to use, but its a sod to get off and leaves glue on the handles.
Likewise the STUPID stickers that Halfords put on their tool boxes advertising their features, I know its got 4 industrial strength castors with brakes- I don't need reminding everytime I look at it. Nor do I need reminding of its roller bearing drawers! These stickers are superglued on, and take a considerable effort to remove.
Other than that, great product.

I gave up on the stupid stickers in the end! I tried every solvent going which didn't seem to scratch the surface so I used thinners and it just took the paint off around the stickers!!26 and on the 4th LR..
