Just purchased them, unblocked the PS side earlier this year and time to do the driver side and rear drains.

This couldn't have popped up at a better time. Found the wet carpet in passenger side yesterday. Today is the oldest you've been and the youngest you'll ever be again.

Sadly if it is the passenger side carpet, chances are it isn't a blocked tube but the end has come off. Prepare to have "fun" removing the central junction box to change the rubber end that pokes through into the wheelarch. I reckon when they built the D3 they started with the CJB and built the rest of the car around it!

The other cause of a wet carpet could be the metalscuttle panel at the base of the windscreen that the wiper shafts come through.
If the panel is not firmly against the screen water seeps under it then down the metal panel underneath. Most will drain onto the lower panel then out the drainage channels behind the wings.
However the lip it drains off of goes across the intake for the car ventilation so some water ends up in the pollen filter and eventually onto the floor of the car. The fix is to stick a piece of plastic to the underside of the lip extending it forward to alow the water to drain forward of the intake.
This was suggested to me on here AFTER I had gone through the pain of getting the fuse box out only to find the ends of the sunroof drain were good and even quite new. Just removing the scuttle was far easier.
Another clue (in retrospect) was when the roof drain leaks it tends to fill up the wiring channel under the plastic trim at the bottom of the door opening causing a number of electrical gremlins. In my case mine was dry which puzzled me at the time.
My thanks to whoever pointed this out and my apologies for no name checkA visitor from the dark side, my other vehicle is an is still an EV. Strictly speaking its SWMBO.

I didn't find it hard to remove, maybe 15 mins or so.

I had a perished elbow on bottom of drain tube, front passenger side. Instead if removing the CJB, (I was worried about unplugging everything and getting electrical gremlins), I removed the front wing. Relatively easy to do, removed headlight, wheel arch plastic trim, and unbolted the wing.
I was then able to fish out what was left of the perished elbow, which I replaced with a piece of plastic tube, sealed up with a bit of mastic. Took me approx hour all up. No more wet carpet.

I wonder if i can reach the rear drains with this, arriving tomorrow so will give it a go.
If it does it will save removing the C pillar trim to access the drains.

Is this long enough to do the rears? I have some curtain wire which I have used in the past but it only reached the fronts and wasn't long enough to do the back two.
