lafona00, they'll do fine, you need to cut out for the exhaust anyway

Duncster, should be fine too if you don't want the logo

Hello the one at paddock that you showned me are exactly what I am looking for.
If the price are for a pair I will go for those one.

To install it you all told me it was not so hard, therefore I am sure I will be able to do it...!
I will bought the screws and bolds at LR in order to have some which are not rusting over time.

Thanks again.

Just Upgraded My Rear Mudflaps on the D3

Used Original Screws plus two extras, Had to cut around exhaust. Once first done, laid them back to back and used first as a template to drill and cut second. Used a 5.5mm drill for the holes in the flap and 3.5mm drill to make the new holes in the plastic wheel-arch trim and lining.

and this is from the back

Once this was done I went and played to see how the new King Springs perform off road, see my gallery for pictures of the off-road, plus I've updated the instructions for the mudflaps as I'd now use a two part trim clip instead of the two extra screws.

The King Springs were GREAT!!! Thanks for the advise Norto Thumbs Up

Cheers CFB,

Off Road centre in the Forest of Dean - I help out there as an assistance instructor now and again, so I can go and play occasionally. Few more pics in my gallery for those that are interested.

Could try to organise something for the Forum members, but having spoken briefly with the powers that be there, we'd need to provide our own marshalling and insurance to hire the site for a day, like clubs do.

Also, it can be harsh on the vehicles as it's an old limestone quarry, so when it's dry the group is hard and unforgiving. Nice and soft today though Thumbs Up

Regards,

DN

Insurance is the problem, I ran a day at the site I work at in Yorkshire but we had to use their insurance as we are not officially a club. Could be good to go for a play day at your place though Thumbs Up

CFB - Rather than discussing this back and forth on the forum, can you please send me a PM with contact details so we can have a chat tomorrow on the phone and then I'll see what I can arrange. Then I'll also get a few more pictures into me gallery of the actual site for people to see it. I'll then start a separate thread for this.

Cheers, DN

I want to make some larger mudflaps for the car, it's spraying Censored all over the front of the tin tent. Also ripped rear left one off this afternoon on site Evil or Very Mad so think some rally flap style ones will be better ??

I think a few have done this - does anyone have a pattern ??

The responses to your query are great Confused I ripped one off on the desert crossing. The one thing that LR don't do well are mudflaps and the front bumper bars where the skirt is always too low Sad I did some damage to the underside of the bumper on that trip as well. The front skirt on the D2 was even worse Evil or Very Mad

That she does, but fortunatly it's not impacted the on-road handling either so I'm doubly happy Very Happy

Only picked this up now. I reckon Norto must have shares in K S. He also "sold" me a pair. Rolling with laughter

No regrets though. Laughing
