Info on fitting the soft bull bars
Anyone out there fitted the soft bull bars (VUB 501210)
I have just taken delivery of one and the instructions (at best) are poor.
I have had an initial look but, I have also ordered driving lamps and I am going to wait till they land as it appears I may need everything on site before I start taking the front end apart.
ANY INFO OR EXPERIENCES ON THE BAR OR LIGHTING WOULD BE WELCOME. THANX

I don't have any tips Shooter and am not as smartthinking as some of the other forum members who document/picture their modfitting exploits.Saving that , Im not that technically minded but if you take your time it works out in the end.The hardest part I found was getting the bracket holes in the bumper centred aligned correctly. The width of the a-Bar pillars that cover the holes is forgiving provided you dont drill the holes out too big.Hopefully someone might be able to help you further here , best of luck and welcome to the site
PS applying the " L A N D R O V E R " lettering to the A- Bar makes a nice finishing touch.Theyre available from ebay for about a 10'er.
I can't see them listed anymore but these are the guys that were selling them http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/autocraft4x4 , of course The Large One could sort you out with a set .

You can fit the driving lamps at a later stage, without the need for dismantling the front of your car.
I did my a-bar a while ago, whilst it was pi%%ing with rain, and to be honest the biggest PITA was getting the headlamps out.
This is a picture of the front of my D3, with the bumper removed after i've fitted the mounting brackets for the a-bar. Then it was just a case of drilling the bumper and refitting all the bits and pieces.
I fitted the driving lamps about 4 months after the a-bar, and remember you'll need to get you LR stealer or 10forcash to activate them via there techno-wizardry.

Rogue ,hindsight , but LR could have made the job easier if they had premarked the drill points for the four bracket bolts on the reverse side of the bumper ( same as they do for the bumper foglights).

Now there's a thought.......
Going to be driving accross Europe to Italy via france, belgium, switzerland (maybe Germany also) and want to have the kids DVD players always powered on, so may look at your wonderful yellow top installation with some 12v sockets dotted around the car...... Bodsys Brake Bible
