ok so I need a 4 wheel alignment done, I have borrowed a tool to put the air suspension in TTM mode (tight tolerance mode) do I need to do anything else? Should the disco be running during the alignment? Does the steering angle sensor need re-calibration after the alignment is complete?
Thanks

As far as I can remember
TTM
a Full fuel tank
make sure all tyre pressures are correct
engine runing
& away you go,
I'm sure if I've missed anything some 1 will let us know RRSport MY12hse but don't hold that against lill o me
Hybrid TV, cubby Fridge, Surround Camera's, Sun Roof.
Disco 3 MY05hse Sadly gone
All alone in my own little world,
But everybody knows me there, so I'm ok.
Great thanks - just need to make sure the tyre place know what they are doing before I let them loose! Don't want to be paying out on another set of tyres!

I didn't have my engine running last time. Full tank of fuel and boot full of what I normally carry, set it to TTM and let them get on with it.
Did you leave the ignition on? Always assumed TTM would require power to operate compressor/air suspension? Although I guess it has that already for self levelling.......

hi guys, new to a D4, so please excuse the n00b questions:
1. what is TTM mode?
2. how do put the suspension in TTM mode?
3. I have an IID tool, can I use this?

Yes, you can use the iid tool to put the car into tight tolerance mode
Just remember to put it back into normal after alignment.
TTM maintains the ride height to tighter tolerances for alignment.
Thanks tayaste, but I cannot find the procedure in the IID tool manual...

I think the engine needs to be running so the suspension can adjust, and make sure the doors are closed.
Then when it's done make sure you take it out of ttm. Then calibrate the steering angle sensor. Then check the suspension heights as that may need calibrated as well. From centre of the wheel to the wheel arch at the rear is 485mm and the front 466mm. That will keep you busy. Oh and don't forget, the ground needs to be level. D3 Tonga HSE 2005

I can't remember off the top of my head but the iid tool will guide you and tell you to either leave engine running or switch to ignition.

You will definitely, 100% certain, require the steering angle sensor recalibrating after your 4 wheel alignment. Failure to do this final phase will open up a whole world of pain in suspension lowering and HDC faults etc. Mods:
