Item 2 in the picture on page 1 of the 9 page pdf shows the location of the steering wheel sensor. Page 5 of the pdf has a paragraph describing the operation of the sensor. When the steering wheel does not point the same direction as the real wheels, then the computers can put the 3 into safe mode and down goes the suspension.
