the fbh comes on automatically under 4deg i think to help warm the car up, with a remote like altox you can set pre determined times to start or just press start on the app, so long as the car is asleap it will fire up but if you unlock the car and wake it upo it will turn off

If you unlock the car it will turn off? Smile

Just tried mine earlier.

Started FBH using text to the Altox.

15 mins later still running.

opened car and sat in it ... FBH still running.

Do you mean that it stops on car opening when started via the "home menu ==> Timed Climate" route ?

Yeah I don’t think all remotes stop it.

There are many many aftermarket solutions.

Re: FBH

If I unlocked mine before the Altox timer had finished shortly after it would shut down maybe a min but not long

As in unlock to get in and start it? What I don't understand is without a remote, when/how does it start?

The FBH will come on automatically after you start the car if the outside temp is before 6deg and keep running to help warm the car up, if you have a remote you can tell it to start and it will run for a pre determined time say 30mins, if during this time you unlock the car the FBH will turn off. It’s as simple as that

That's what I was confused about - It goes off when the car is unlocked confused me about starting the car. Thanks for that Smile

the FBH will go off if the volts drop.

so a start will often stop it as volts drop below ~11.6v.

if your battery is weak, unlocking/opening (i.e. waking up) may also do it I guess ?
