Does it make a difference if the screen has been treated to Rain-X or similar?
I've never tried the stuff myself.

How long do you expect the Valero ones to last?
I fitted a set in September and last month the indicator was telling me to replace them. In this time I have only covered about 7k! Discovery 3 XS Auto, Stornaway, Active rear diff.

ignore the indicator, mine did the same, it's UV light that changes that.
I'd done over 20k miles when I p'xd the car with the Valeos still on.

I'm sitting here with a set on my desk just about to put them on...
This should take you there.. http://www.speeding.co.uk/acatalog/Valeo_X...lades.html
Just fitted a set of these. Been out in heavy rain and very quiet and gives them windscreen a good wipe . Highly recommend
What is the code of the one's for the D3 (HSE MY 2006) front and rear?
Are thiose difficult to mount (ie do you need specific devices?)

Halfords do sell them for about £22 a pair as I remember.
Ref the long standing issue of squeaking and juddering - I have had no issues from either sets of LR ones I have bought since keeping car shampoo off windscreen and giving both the screen and wiper a clean with some glass cleaner? (Mr. Muscle/ Autoglym)

I bought a set of own brand flat ones from www.wiperblades.co.uk part number wb5-22
I have to say they have been very good indeed (much better than the rubbish that was on before although I don't know what they were) and they are only six quid each
They won the Auto Express wiper test hands down a few months ago, and at that price I can see why. Even if I have to change them twice as often (which I am sure I wont) still quids in and a great product.

Al, thanks.
I've found that the indicators, which I find very distracting, are just little stickers and can easily be removed!
Problem solved! Discovery 3 XS Auto, Stornaway, Active rear diff.
