I can see the headlines: Are car parks too tough for the World's Best 4X4?

I like the way that even though it's on the roof it's still extending the supension as much as possible trying to make contact with the ground Very Happy

2010 Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 HSE Auto Ipanema SandDiscovery 4

The vehicle looks like it was driving towards the camera on that outrageous side slope when it rolled onto its side (the side now facing the camera) damaged the panels and knocked off the door handle then completed the 180 degree manourve onto its roof. It also looks like it taken out a fence and has struck the Tonga Green model behind it - ouch ! The change in angles on the stone course look to be at fault, but you have to hope that as a main dealer the course would have been designed to show the Land Rover ranges limits, but stay reasonably comfortably within them. Perhaps the driver gunned the engine too hard when moving up the slope and the upside wheel lift into the air and she rolled or perhaps the suspension setting was set for high and that raised the centre of gravity beyond the critical point. Do D3's have less slide slope ability than other LR models ? Lets hope the passenger didn't have their arm out of the window. Confused

Naw I think its yankee driver error Wink , not the car - I've had a D3 at such an angle that I thought we were done for but lo and behold it took it in its stride.

Re: WHOOPS!

I wonder if the customer bought one! Laughing

I have been over one of these things at the dealer sitting on the downhill side and it is quite unnerving!

Might be cheap when it hits the LR Used website, though. One careful owner...not.

I'm pinging everyone I know to get details on this one. Something's fishy. I've driven the local test track with side tilt many times (in Series, Freelander, Disco, Defender, and LR3) and only my lifted Series was iffy. The LR3 takes it all in stride. I usually use rock crawl/high mode.

I was at my dealer today and I showed them all this pix and the sales manager laughed... as in glad it wasn't HIS truck.

I can only imagine telling a customer to climb out the back door!

This is absolutely impossible at my dealers - LR made the track much too tight for D3's and RR's Whistle so they cannot use it. Nice planning.
